Rustic Church Altar Candle Holders

This stunning pair of large antique country church altar candlestick holders add charm to any room. Not only do they add warmth with the glow of the candles, their substantial size gives real impact on a table or a fireplace.

They where originally displayed at the  front of a small Northumberland church and would have been lit at most services.  Hand made by a local crafts person they would have either been commissioned by the church or gifted, due to this the likelihood of there being another pair the same is very unlikely.  The detail on this pair is great with hand turning and carving to the entire piece.  Likely made from local timber the rings of the wood can still be seen through the patina.   

These have been professionally cleaned to remove the years of build up but still show the age of the product some marks still remain so it is worth looking at the images.  Both bases have drying cracks but both still work perfectly and the marks don't detract from their charm.
