Antique Blue Glass Soda Syphon – Clarkson's Potash Water, Leeds
A beautiful original antique blue glass soda syphon from Clarkson's Potash Water, Leeds, complete with its original metal syphon top and wonderfully preserved etched advertising.
The striking blue glass features the original Clarkson's lettering and distinctive horse motif, both of which remain clearly visible. A lovely example of antique advertising glass, this syphon is full of character and history.
Originally used in pubs and bars to dispense soda water, these decorative glass syphons also served as an effective way for drinks manufacturers to advertise their products.
Today, this charming piece would make a wonderful addition to a vintage drinks trolley, home bar or kitchen shelf. Equally, it would sit beautifully alongside other antique bottles, advertising memorabilia or vintage barware.
Condition:
Presented in original antique condition, with no restoration or polishing undertaken, preserving its authenticity and character.
The original metal syphon top displays corrosion, wear and patina consistent with its age. There is also a chip to the glass at the base. Despite these imperfections, the beautiful blue glass and etched advertising remain particularly attractive.
