Antique French Majolica Bulldog Tobacco Jar

This lovely quality French majolica tobacco jar of a bulldog smoking a pipe produced c1890 most likely by the Orchies factory.  Orchies started producing majolica at the end of the 19th century and by the early 1900s produced over twenty molds of humorous majolica jugs, tobacco jars etc. featuring animals.

Condition:  In great vintage condition there is a small chip to the end of the bulldogs noise (please view all the images) hence the price.
