This very rare antique fish swallowing fish teapot was made in Staffordshire England approx. 1880s.  It is depicted as a nicely realised teapot in the form of a fish with its tail as the handle, the smaller fish it is swallowing as the spout, and its dorsal fin acting as the pot lid and handle.  It is unmarked to the base apart from being glazed yellow – see the photographs.

Condition - The overall condition of the teapot is excellent with only light crazing to the glaze and on the inside of the spout and teapot.
