Antique Wooden Foot Locker

This beautiful wooden foot locker dating back from the early 1930s.  Made of pitch pine and would have been used as a foot locker in an Army basic training camp.  The markings of the hut it was in including some of the soldiers that used it as still clear to read on the inside.

This would look fantastic as a coffee table - and it's not too big for a smaller space - or as useful storage next to a door for shoes or dog paraphernalia.  

Solid wood with metal handles and hinges, This is in good solid vintage condition, with a lovely patina of age.  It is scratch built with what materials where available at the time which just adds to its charm.

It has been professionally cleaned and waxed and is ready to be used.

Inside the trunk there is historic staining and original chalk marks to the top, but no sign of damp, rot or woodworm. The original handles and hinges are present, but there are holes from previous hasps/locks. Please see pictures for details.
