Vintage Mercury Glass Bird Baubles

These absolutely beautiful early mercury glass bird baubles are a really rare find. This will add a whimsical touch to your tree, or make a lovely thoughtful gift.  Each sold separately please see the description's below. 

Description:

A - Very rare Peacock with original foil tail - length 10cm (15cm with tail)
B - Nice fully original green and silver bird great vintage condition - length 10cm with tail
C - Early bird with small damage to beak and replacement tail feather - length 12cm with tail
D - Early silver bird with black beak please note the clip does swivel and replacement feather tail- length 10cm with tail
E - Very early silver bird with pink back replacement feather tail their has been a historic repair to the bird by refitting the clip - length 10cm with tail
F - Very early silver bird with pink and blue back the bird has replacement feather tail and a historic repair to reattach the clip.- length 10cm with tail
G - Early silver bird with red tail - length 8cm (14cm with tail)
H - Very early bird with replacement feather tail - length 8cm (14cm with tail)
I - Small silver bird with green wings - length 5cm (10cm with tail)
J - Small silver bird with red wings - length 5cm (10cm with tail) 

Made from glass over 60 years ago, these have a loved and timeworn appearance which is still gorgeous. There maybe surface imperfections or mottling. Our packaging is single-use plastic free: anything we have bought is plastic free and recyclable. However we will also re-use plastic in good condition from deliveries we have received (foam sheets, bubble wrap etc) if it means we can extend its life and save it from landfill.

VINTAGE BAUBLE CARE
Vintage glass baubles are very delicate, but with the right care should give you many more years of joy.

CLEANING
Use a soft dry cloth or soft brush only to gently remove any surface grime. Do not use anything damp or abrasive as this is likely to remove any decoration, revealing the original silvered glass underneath. If your baubles do come into contact with moisture, allow them to dry thoroughly before touching the surface.

STORAGE
Use the acid-free tissue supplied to rewrap your baubles before carefully storing in a box. If you can, use the original packaging or one of our brown boxes. Don’t place heavier items on top of the box.

Store in a cool dry place, and avoid anywhere it gets very hot or very cold. Any dampness or humidity could cause the surface decoration to lift.
